The Fall of Modern Culture and The Rise of Earth Culture
The Fall of Modern Culture and The Rise of Earth Culture
This is the birth of the online media supporting a book called Culturequake: The Restoration Revolution. This blog and podcast are extensions of the book which is dedicated to inspiring new cultures.
Preface
Starting with 9/11, I began to realize that something in the world was changing. I had a feeling that things were not as they appeared and that I did not have the whole story. I started doing some research and the story turned out to be much larger and more interconnected than I imagined. Culturequake: The Restoration Revolution is the summary and conclusions of my research.
After a certain point I became overwhelmed with information. So, I created a knowledge-base I called Earth Literacy to synthesize it. This book reflects about ten percent of the data I recorded which is about one percent of what I reviewed. I did not choose what to research; connecting the dots showed me where to look next. Growing like a tree grows, Culturequake wrote itself.
When you are done, pass the book along to friends or family and consider asking your library to order it. More Culturequake readings can be found at www.culturequake.org.

Introduction
The purpose of Culturequake is to start a new vision that will restore humanity and the earth. I believe that Modern culture does not offer the ordinary person the most fulfilling and secure way to live.
A culturequake is a major shift in humanity’s story and its place in the community of life. The last shift happened at the agricultural revolution 10,000 years ago. Revolutions such as the Renaissance, American revolution, industrial revolution, green revolution and now technology revolution are not culturequakes because they left our cultural story intact, that the world belongs to people for our use alone.
To develop real long-term solutions, we need to find the connections between and the root causes of the problems caused by the last culturequake.
Culturequake has three essential parts to find the shifts that we need to make: understanding where in our history the root causes to our problems started, defining the real problem and designing a solution. The point of Culturequake covering so much ground is that people need something that they can hold in their hands that gives the complete picture—that brings all of the scattered ideas together.
A new vision and models of a better way to live will create a shift from a culture of taking to a culture of restoration—from dominion to peace and abundance.
